Turkish Cuisine
Chef and owner Apo Kilic wants you to love his traditional Turkish food and enjoy a relaxed visit to his unpretentious White Plains restaurant. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike will all find something amazing on the menu to suit them. Start with soguk mezeler, or cold appetizers, such as hummus, dolma, lebne, or ezme. Have a sandwich (pita or wrap) made with chicken, lamb or beef if you're a carnivore, or with falafel, babaganush or tabule if you're not. As for entrees, the menu is divided into sections devoted to lamb (kebap, meatballs, chops), chicken (adana, curried, sautee), seafood (grilled or baked bronzino, trout, salmon, shrimp), and vegetarian (falafel, sautéed spinach with rice, stuffed cabbage) dishes. But wait! There's more! Turkish Cuisine is famous for desserts: baklava, sutlac (homemade baked creamy rice pudding), almond pudding, baked pumpkin, and heavenly baked pears. Chef Apo will make sure you leave very, very happy.
